Prince Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle nowhere to be seen at Pippa Middleton's wedding

Disappointed spectators who came from across the country to see the Royals enter Pippa Middleton’s wedding were surprised they didn’t see Prince Harry’s love interest enter the church.

Prince Harry entered the ceremony, at which Pippa Middleton married James Matthews, with his brother the Duke of Cambridge.

Newlyweds Pippa and James leave church

Pippa Middleton and her new husband James Matthews wave to the crowds as they leave their wedding ceremony on Saturday.

Ms Markle, 35, was nowhere to be seen.

There are reports the American actress will attend the wedding reception, to be held in a state-of-the-art glass marquee in the Middletons’ garden in Berkshire.

She arrived in London on Tuesday, joining her boyfriend of 10 months for pre-wedding festivities.

But when the ceremony kicked off at St Marks Church on Saturday, the Prince was photographed arriving with his brother.

The actress was last seen exiting a spa in London’s Soho district on Friday afternoon, where it was assumed she was getting ready for the big party.

It has been reported that Markle stayed in London for the ceremony, with Prince Harry expected to pick her up for the reception.

Markle spends much of her time in Toronto, Canada, where filming for TV show Suits is carried out.

The couple made it official earlier this month, when they were photographed kissing at a polo match.

Markle was pictured with her arm around Prince Harry, 32, as they shared an embrace in the car park at Coworth Park polo club, near Ascot.

Last month, Markle’s announcement that she is to discontinue her online blog The Tig prompted speculation that the move was a precursor to an engagement announcement.

The actor, who has been dating the prince for nearly a year, said it was time to “say goodbye” to the blog after three years.
