Liverpool, Reds transfer news: Coutinho Barcelona request rejected, aggrieved with Klopp

LIVERPOOL have rejected Philippe Coutinho’s transfer request after he told them of his desire to move to Barcelona, Sky sources understand.

The player’s transfer request came hours after the club’s owners Fenway Sports Group released a statement saying “no offers will be considered” for Coutinho this summer, with Jurgen Klopp backing the owners’ sentiments.

Sky Sports News understands Liverpool have so far rejected two bids from Barcelona for the Brazil international, with the latest offer worth up to £90.4m.

Coutinho feels aggrieved over his treatment by Jurgen Klopp, according to Sky sources.
