ADD Sir Patrick Stewart to the growing list of A-list celebrities to join Daniel Ricciardo in doing a shoey on the Formula 1 podium.
The Canadian Grand Prix crowd urged Ricciardo to perform his trademark celebration on the podium after finishing third, duly taking off a boot to the cheers of the fans below.
“Bravo! Good vintage!” Stewart, doing the podium interviews, cheered.

Ricciardo then asked the famed actor if he’d like some too.
“I’d love some, yeah. Come on!” he said, Ricciardo promptly removing his other boot, filling it with champagne and passing it on for Stewart to down to the cheers of the crowd.
“I’m proud of you for doing that. That’s something I couldn’t do,” race winner Lewis Hamilton joked to Stewart afterwards.
“You see how sweaty his feet are? There’s a lot of toe-jam in that shoe.”
Clearly enjoying his official duties, Stewart revelled in his first experience of an F1 podium.
“I don’t care, I don’t care!” Stewart said.
“I made the podium for the first time! I will drink out of anybody’s shoes!”
